Zambrano, Honduras
Water Room Dedication and Celebration
PN 25-012
Fundación Free the Oppressed is an inspiring mission run by Pastor Jimmy Hughes and his wife Jessica Flores. What began as an effort to house a few abandoned children in Honduras has evolved into an orphanage, drug rehabilitation center for adults, and a school that is open to the children who live at Free the Oppressed as well as children who live in Zambrano. Through sheer faith and determination, Jessica and Jimmy have built their mission from the ground up, literally!
Fundación Free the Oppressed provides live affirming resources through their school, orphanage, and drug rehabilitation center. Thanks to their partnership with Agua Viva, four new individuals now know how to produce purified water, including two residents of the drug rehabilitation center. Jose and Oscar are grateful to be able to have a positive impact on the lives of others while working to build a healthy, productive life for themselves.
In addition to the water purification system, the teachers at the school and nearby residents have now been trained in an education program to support healthy living! These new educators are dynamic and committed to helping the students and residents live long, healthy lives. Jessica and Jimmy hope to use the Agua Viva water purification system to create a new income stream for their ministry while extending their reach to others in Zambrano who may not have had a reason to visit Fundación Free the Oppressed yet.
