Kenya is a perfect representation of Agua Viva’s Core Objective: Empowering Women. Installations include a large orphanage for girls, a rescue mission for abused girls, a school for children with special needs and an orphanage that allows single women to stay overnight to protect them from rape. All of these rural, very poor areas lack purified water. Agua Viva’s hope is not only for improved health, but for girls and women to learn business skills operating the water systems and educating others.
