Church of the Resurrection (COR) in Overland Park, Kansas, provides medical and dental missions in El Obraje and Ciudad Espana, Honduras. The Church indicated that these communities did not have clean drinking water. So, in November 2015, Agua Viva joined the medical and dental team to Honduras. COR was kind enough to arrange for transportation to a small community called Quisgualagua. In this rural indigenous community, Iglesia Metodista Unida ministers to 100 church members and a community and school of about 1,000 people. Jim Allen was able to meet with the President of the Water Board and the Pastor of the local church, Pastor Jamileth. It didn’t take long to figure out that this community was perfect for a new water purification system. Agua Viva plans to return in October 2016 for a full installation.
